Reading Assignment 1

Pip meets a convict in the churchyard. The convict demands Pip to bring him food and a file, so he can cut his chains of his leg. Pip and his sister Mrs. Joe, don't have a tight relationship. Mrs. Joe treats Pip like dirt and beats him all the time. She feels that it is all of Pip's fault for the way she has to live her life and take care of him and Joe. Pip and Joe have a very close relationship. Joe wants the best for Pip and loves him deeply.
